I've mostly been in lurker-mode lately. I apologize for the lack of feedback on some of the awesome fics I read. Anyway, there's a few reasons for that, valid or not.
- At first it was because of
work but that finished about a week ago. Thank goodness for that, I am never going to willingly get a job like that ever again unless I'm desperate or something. Seriously. Mom is still at it though, she got hired with a different kind of contract, which is better 'cause now she alone gets paid a bit more than the two of us did together, so then there was no more need for me to stay. Not that I wanted to, I hate that job. I'm back home now, it's just dad and me. And the cat. It's not bad, I got more space for myself.
- Then there's
Twilight. Yes, I know, I said I didn't want to read the books. And I wouldn't have. But I got curious! I was reading all those Alice/Bella fics, missing details I couldn't really understand because I hadn't read the books, I wanted to see if Alice was as gay as I've heard and if they really were that bad as people say! Truthfully, I don't think they suck that much. Yes Edward is creepy-stalker-ish most of the time and his old-fashioned mind is annoying and there is too much Edward/Bella stuff, I mean, absolutely everything Bella thinks and does revolves around Edward or Edward's absense, it gets overwhelming sometimes but I suppose I can understand where she's coming from. If I gotta be honest, overall, I liked it *smiles apologetically* I had a lump in my throat during all of New Moon, I didn't really like that too much, and Jacob annoyed the hell out of me for three entire books since he became a warewolf (or shape-shifter, whatever), he only got back on my good side at the very end (and I mean the very very end, like in the last ten or twenty pages or so). Renesmee's got me wraped around her finger just like everybody else in the book, she's so cute! Lol. Of the whole saga, I liked Breaking Dawn the most, or well, book three of Breaking Dawn, what with Renesmee and vampire!Bella.
I didn't want to spend 60-70€ for four books I might not like though and I didn't want to read them in italian so I downloaded the eBooks in english, much easier. I might get around to buying them in the future now that I know I like them.
- I'm
lazy. But that's the norm so I'm not really sure that counts as a reason.
In a previous post, over a month ago I said I was gonna write a Bram fic. I wrote a bit but then I got a little stuck and since I procrastinate
a lot I still haven't gotten around to continue it. I suppose I will one day or the other, I really do wanna finish it but knowing me it might take while. If anyone wants to help, feel free to message me, an extra set of eyes and mind can always come in handy ;)
